Committee Studies and Assignments

4002 Study those provisions of North Dakota Century Code Title 15 which relate to elementary and secondary education

4051 Study the desirability of requiring that a core curriculum be taught from kindergarten through grade 12; and if determined to be desirable, develop a core curriculum or endorse an existing core curriculum for delivery to each school child, regardless of where the child resides; and determine the feasibility and desirability of requiring the state to assume all costs of delivering that core curriculum to each school child

Acknowledge receipt of county plan assigning duties of county superintendent of schools (NDCC § 15-22-01.1)

Receive report from Superintendent of Public Instruction regarding the home schooling of children with autism (NDCC § 15-34.1-12.1, effective until July 1, 1999)

Receive report from Leadership in Education Consortium on training programs for teachers and education administrators developed in cooperation with the teacher learning centers (1997 S.L., ch. 13, § 10)

Receive periodic reports from the State Board for Vocational and Technical Education on its progress in coordinating statewide access to work force training programs (1997 S.L., ch. 32, § 17; ch. 49, § 7)
