Legislation: 2009
Legislative information from the 61st Legislative Assembly, which will convene Tuesday, January 6, 2009, will be available through this web site without charge. The Legislative Info right navigation pane provides the links to this information. During the legislative session this information is updated daily.
Generally, the information will become available January 6, 2009. Some information may be placed on this site before January 6, e.g. the text of bills filed for formal introduction in 2004 before the 2005 session was available from December 20, 2004, through January 3, 2005, through the following link: Prefiled House Bills and Prefiled Senate Bills.
Legislative information that becomes available after the Legislative Assembly adjourns also is available on this site without charge. This information includes the effective dates of legislation and the 2009 Session Laws.
A Legislative Bill Tracking System subscription service is available through the North Dakota University System. This subscription-based, value-added system is designed to track multiple measures through the legislative process during the legislative session. A subscriber can generate customized reports for measures identified on tracking lists (a tracking list is a set of measures tracked as a group). Data is updated at the close of each day. This system provides reports tailored to the measures the subscriber is following. The fee for a non-state government, one-user account with two tracking lists is $300 for access to the system through June 30, 2009. Additional tracking lists are $30 each.
