2006 Organizational Session
Section 7 of Article IV of the Constitution of North Dakota requires the Legislative Assembly to meet in December following the November general election for organizational and orientation purposes as provided by law. Under North Dakota Century Code Section 54-03.1-02, the organizational session of the 60th Legislative Assembly will be scheduled to convene at 1:00 p.m. on December 4, 2006. The Legislative Council makes the arrangements for the organizational session and determines the agenda. Agenda items will include orientation classes on legislative rules and procedures, computer training classes, reports on Legislative Council interim committee activities, appointment of standing and procedural committees, adoption of legislative rules, and presentation of budget proposals recommended by the Governor.
