Between 1989 and 2005 Community Access Television broadcast gavel-to-gavel coverage of legislative proceedings locally through Midcontinent Communications, cable channel 12. Since 2001 the Information Technology Department has webcast the floor proceedings over the Internet.
Starting in 2007, House and Senate proceedings will be broadcast as they occur, rather than on an alternating, weekly basis, as had been done since 1989.
