The House of Representatives consists of 94 representatives. Two representatives are elected from each of 47 senatorial districts. The representatives from odd-numbered districts were elected to four-year terms at the November 2002 general election. The representatives from even-numbered districts were elected to four-year terms at the November 2004 general election. Due to vacancies and appointments to fill those vacancies, one representative from district 3, one representative from district 23, and one representative from district 25 were elected to a two-year term at the November 2004 election.
There are 12 House standing committees and 7 House procedural committees that closely parallel the Senate committees with respect to name and subject matter jurisdiction.
