1997 Bills, Resolutions, and Journals
To view information in the bill status system you should use Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0.
Throughout the system, references to "bill" numbers, "bill" actions, and "bill status" actions, include information on resolutions.
The bills and resolutions (measures) files include text of measures as introduced, amendments approved by standing committees, floor amendments approved (normally made only on the Senate floor), measures as amended (engrossments), and bills as enacted or resolutions as adopted (enrollments).
If there is not an enrolled version of a measure, the measure was not enacted or adopted. All enrolled measures are compiled in the 1997 Session Laws and are given Session Laws chapter numbers.
References to HJ or SJ in lists of legislative actions are to the House Journal or the Senate Journal. The number after HJ or SJ is the page on which the action occurs. Clicking the reference will take you to the first page of the relevant daily journal. You will need to scroll within that journal to get to the desired page.
The Major Topic Index lists the major topics under which all bills and resolutions are indexed. The entries are to the measures as introduced. To view the entries, click the star next to the appropriate heading. (Use your browser's find feature to go quickly from topic to topic.)
